Prayer alone is not sufficient enough to draw us closer to God, because faith without hard work is vain. When we pray, our character should also align with the teachings of Christ, we don't just pray but let's also put those things that God has commanded us into practice.
This bible verse teaches us that prayer alone is not enough. To get closer to God, we must also seek him through learning his teachings and applying what has been learned in his teachings.
When we ask God in prayer to bless us and provide things we need for us, we don't just sit back and wait for God to throw down manner from heaven instead we have knock by applying hardwork, looking for job, and getting employed.
As christians, let's not pray alone but let's also add hardwork by seeking God through learning his teachings and commandments, then applying what has been learned into practice.
