The Bible: We call it a holy book for a reason because it is not just a common book that can found in the library or book store. Reading the bible, one has to have a deeper understanding of it to comprehend.
The Bible was written by some people through the inspiration of the holy spirit which makes it a unique book, and since it was written by the ministration of the holy spirit, it also needs the divine inspiration of the holy ghost to understand the deep meaning of each word in it.
We cannot just understand the bible with the human knowledge that we have because there is a difference between reading it and reading to get the interpretation that it has from the holy spirit.
Psalms 94:11 says: The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.The wisdom of man is nothing in the sight of God, no human understanding can be able to understand the bible without the help of holy spirit."
It has been clearly stated in the book of Psalm that no one can understand the clear meaning of each verses without the help of the holy spirit.
So, for us to understand the Bible, we need to get closer to God, obey his commandments, do his will and by so doing, we will get divine guidance from the holy spirit when we read God's words.
Reading his words brings blessings because the bible says, blessed be the reader and the hearer of his words. So as believers, we should submit ourselves totally before reading the bible to get the interpretation the holy spirit get in stock for us.
