One of the problems that we the believers have today Is that we usually fail to ask for what we need even when our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ has commanded us to ask and it will be given unto us. We close our mouth just like that other thief on the cross of Calvary we failed to ask Jesus Christ what the other thief asked him.
If we do not ask, there is no way we are going to receive which means that a closed mouth is more or less like a closed destiny. This also implies that as believer, we should always ask God to forgive our sins if we sin against him.
A lot of people have looked down on themselves in a way that they think that they have gone too far and God cannot forgive them again. Our God is a merciful God and he can forgive anyone no matter thier sins.
From the bible, we are made known that one of the thieves that was crucified with jesus asked for his mercy and it was made known that Jesus told him that he will be with him in paradise but the other thief refused to open his mouth.
So as believer, we should be like the first thief who opened his mouth wide and asked God for forgiveness, we should not be like the other thief because it could be dangerous.
