God created us in his image, and also, everything that he created were wonderfully and fearfully made, the plants, birds, living and non living things. All the fruits that God created in the garden of eden except the forbidden fruit which god instructed both Adam and Eve not to eat from before the were decieved by the serpent which led to the evils in the world today.
The big deal was not Adam was decieved to eat from the fruit, but because he refused to continue to obey the instructions given by God which led to the disobedience. Tye first enemy of God who is known as Satan used Eve as an instrument to lure Adam to eat from that fruit as a plan to destroy the creation of God through disobedience.
In this teaching, the teacher made a good illustration using marijuana, saying that it has its health benefits when it is used adequately but when it is misused, that is where the problem comes in. So, this is applicable to what God has created and that too much of everything is bad. What God has created are all perfectly made but the way we use that really matters.
God purposefully made that forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden just to test it Adam and Eve will listen to him and follow his instructions and not to cause the fall of human. But it was a sad thing that they failed the test.
However, this teaching will continue to remind us that when God created everything on earth they were created for eachother benefit but how we have been using those things he created determine if either they will be a blessing or a curse to our existence. As Christians, we should continue to learn from the terrible mistake made by Adam and Eve which should open our eyes to draw closer to God and continue to obey his commandments that he has made for us.
