Brother Eli gives us a powerful reminder that Christian life is not meant to believe blindly or by chance.
God did not leave us in darkness about our future. But in prophecy and his word, we are being revealed what is to come, which is not to scare us but to strengthen our faith. And when all this happens, the early manifest that we are not supposed to live with what comes that may, that kind of mentality is very bad.
Proverbs 16 now shows that why we plan our path is the Lord who directs our step. That means we have a role to play, which is to prepare ourselves to choose what is good, to work the works of the Lord that they are doing us for.
We are being reminded that the truth that many people avoid, that we will all face death
one day, except those that witness the Lord's coming. After death, there is judgment. This is the reality that should inspire us to purposefully and obediently live the righteous life.
This teaching has awakened our awareness about life and death. And the future will come. And God wants us. They motivate us to live to understand them as a responsibility and hope in God's promise.
The word of God guides our future
