IMPORTANT POINTS FROM THE TEACHING
The creation of man was by God Almighty, as men we fail to recognise that God created us and we do this by having a very hard heart toward him and his words. Despite this act by fellow Christians our God is too merciful to forgive our sins.We must know the devil works to deceive us.
Acts 17: 26-28 - I learnt that our God is always close for those who seek him diligently. Draw nigh to God and he will come close to you, that's the instruction in the Bible. We have people who worship creatures rather than Creator.
Acts 13:7-10 - I learnt that as Christians it is our sole purpose to have a time of devotion with God, We must seek God, not forgetting to be eager for his word.
We are bound to encounter challenges while trying to serve God
Philippians 2:13 - I learnt from the Bible that we must allow God to come and take his place in our lives, for without that temptations shall be upon us and we would not be able to defend ourselves.
We must prepare our minds and heart for heaven. God has assured us of a kingdom, We must work our way to be in that Kingdom with God at his right side giving praise and honour to the King of Kings
FORMER BELIEFS OR EXPECTATIONS THAT WAS IMPROVED
We still have people who do not believe in the existence of God, despite the teachings. The worshipping of false images is prohibited by God. It is an act that we should never have to be involved with.
1 Peter 5:8 - I learnt that as Christians it is our duty to be watchful against the tactics Satan throws at us, for Satan looks to destroy us. Hence if we seek God we will avoid such iniquity.
WAYS IN WHICH THE STUDY AFFECT US THAT CAN MAKE US A BETTER PERSON THAT WE CAN USE IN OUR DAILY LIVES
The message spoken extensively about the heart of Man, we must understand that in the Bible we had four types of heart listed
Matthew 13- This explains the parable by Our Lord Jesus Christ explaining the types of heart man possesses and what the characteristics of the hearts are.
The Bible lists the hearts as Roadside, Rockyside, Thorns and Good soil
It is obvious from the list of hearts that as Christians the goal is to have the heart that fell on the good soil. It is a heart that promotes spiritual growth. A heart that listens, receives, medicates and carry out the instruction of God.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 - I learnt that God is willing to forgive those with the roadside, Rockyside and thorny heart, that if they are willing to change their ways and incline to God.
