The phrase that “men cheat” is very wrong. Let’s start from the story of human creation. When God created human, He created Adam first. After the creation of Adam, God decided to bless Adam by giving him a woman on his side.
This mathematics makes one man to one woman.
Come to think of it. When God created another human, it was a woman so that she can be compatible and be next to a man. This is exactly how it is meant to be but the likes of men who cheat on their wives and even women who cheat on their spouses see it as something wrong and they now conclude that anyone can cheat but God never mentioned that to us.
I Kings 11:3 tells us that; “And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.”
This is the story of King Solomon but sinners will definitely go unpunished and that’s why God punished him. King Solomon is not the only one who practiced polygamy in the Bible. King David also did which made God turn His back against the two of them.

Back to the topic about God accepting polygamy or not. God doesn’t want polygamy and it is not stated anywhere in the Bible that humans can engage in polygamy or have a polygamous home.
Polygamy is not a good idea so no man should ever think about it.
