MCGI TOPIC REVIEW: How To Deal With Problems Calmly?

in MCGI Cares Hive11 days ago

Brother Eli really opened my eyes to what peace really means, which is to stay calm in the middle of storm. So many times when we talk about peace, we think of life without stress or without worry, but Christ himself make it clear that true peace is not just the absence of that worry, but his strength to stand firm.

What's touching me more is how God
has described the life of Jesus here on earth. He was not born to a rich family but yet he lived a life of perfect obedience and unwavering trust in God. Even when he suffered physically, emotionally and spiritually, his response always was about prayer, supplication and obedience.

This is such a powerful reminder in our life today. We usually respond to problems with fear, anxiety or anger, but Jesus faced more deeper suffering than we could have ever imagined and was able to overcome all these through words, fear and human strength.

Brother Eli manifested that in Philippians 4, showing us that the first action to take when a problem arises is prayer. We should not panic, we should not worry, but prayer is the important moment of surrender to gain the peace of God which is beyond our talent.

This begins with guarding our hearts.
For me, teaching is comforting and challenging. So it's comforting to know that God is always there to give us peace and to do just to follow the quiet example of obedience even when we are suffering.
