Brother Eli teaching gave an important exposition from Matthew 7:7. So we have been made emphasis on the faith, which is not passive but requires action. When we pray.
Prayer is a connection to God, a heartfelt plea. It guides us and provides for us with prayer, we are sure of guidance and provision. But at least try to illustrate that praying without acting is like we are expecting prayer to fall from heaven, which is very false.
This verse says you should ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. It's a divine blueprint to be active in faith. Prayer sets the foundation which gives us the room to put our desires to God. But after our seeking, we must learn to act with faith, we must be ready to make use of opportunities, we must be ready to work diligently, we must step out in faith so that this prayer can be brought back to life.
Knocking symbolises that you are persistent, you are constantly pushing to open doors. Brother Eli is trying to tell us that we should seek the truth, we should have faith, even when it is not feeling like it's going to happen and in this we are going to honour God's effort.
We don't want to spoon feed us, we want us to be empowered and should work for our daily bread. This teaching is challenging all to never be weary in faith, prayer starts the journey, action, faith fuels it so that God will open the doors of heaven and must walk through. Let us ask, seek and knock in the right way and trust God that he is going to guide.
