Bro Eli uses scripture, especially Philippians 4: 6-7, and that story of Lazarus, which reminds us that peace does not come from changing the circumstances we are in, but from faith in God. This contrast between Lazarus and the rich man is very important.
The humans and Lazarus lived a miserable life, yet, heaven's verdict was different. He had nothing to eat materially, but he kept on believing in God, and that faith is what carried him beyond the pain of poverty, and the poverty that was placed on earth.
People recorded public conflagrations and fatalities. More than believers who often measure goodness by the success or comfort they have. Bro Eli also made that point about dying to faith and death. Worrying about dying always will eventually bring fear, but when people accept free trial for death, it gives us peace.
