The teaching of brother Eli about death gives us a very comforting and enlightening perspective of what stands in contrast to how we see dead today.
Most see death as something frightening and dark brother Eli made reference from the spiritual, death is not just for those who serve God instead it is a matter that is just the passage of an inevitable judgment so God has appointed for all humanity.
In Acts 17:31 we are reminded that God has fixed especially the way he re-judged the righteous, the truth makes death meaningful and not meaningless. We have been told that life is not just our selfish interest, we are all accountable and every day God also gives us an opportunity to keep knowing to serving and to follow the commandment.
Brother Eli also clarified that death and resurrection, they are something very important we cannot escape this mortality and cannot escape our judgments to come. Brother Eli also made the fact that no one has the power to deal with death. This teaching involves us as believers that must come back to God as the true one of our life and you can take it at any moment.
This message is not just for us to be hopeless. Proverbs 10:7 also assures that when we fear the Lord we prolong our days meaning God can extend the life of those who actually want to know him so in the end death is not or never an enemy for God's servant it's just a transition of the unseen and loving creator.
