You should not consciously count or quantify the time you spend studtying the word of God. As humans we are always time conscious and so we may want to map out time for everything which is a good thing to do. However, this is not when for studying the word of God. When you studying the word of God, it is pointless qauntifying the time because it is like counting how many times you take breathe.
In the book of John, Jesus told the Jews that those who had continued in his word are his true disciples. The word continue means to dwell or to adhere and practice the teachings of our lord Jesus Christ. But first you have to study the word before you can start adding it to your life.
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
The word of God gives life, sustains life and is a path way to eternal life so qualifying your study of the word of God is like quantifying the extent and standard of life you live here on earth. One should study the bible to what extent the spirit leads.
