Bro Eli explained Jer 23:30-32
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord.
God is against the prophets that steal God's word, Bro Eli referred them as thieves and robbers
-They rob men of money
-Their salvation
-Their benefits from what God had intended for all men.
1Corinthians 9:12 To the present hour we both
hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. 12 lAnd we labor, working with our own hands.Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted.
Bro Eli said that it is important for a Pastor to work with his hands. Apostle Paul worked as a tent maker according to Acts 18:3. It is wrong to say that a Pastor should not work. Some misinterprete God’s word by saying you cannot serve God and man on’ so a pastor is not meant to work. Working does not make you serve mammon. It's important to work and make earnings to meet your needs, Pastors can earn from their business in an honourable way.
The wisdom of God is christ 1Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Bro Eli further explained that the wisdom of God exist even before the world was created Prov 8:24-25
God already had his own earth before the world was created unto our glory 1Corinthians 2:8
The wisdom is the personification of Jesus christ, they crucified christ because they did not know him
Some of our pastors are blind, even though the bible and the word of God is so clear and bright, Has listeners we are to depend on the holyspirit for a deeper insight and better interpretation of His word.
