Hello everyone.
I am here to contribute to today's Bible exposition question: Is Mary a descendant of David or Aaron(part 1).
The question is,How does the scripture claim about blessed Mary's Davidic descend? How could she have descended from David's lineage and judah's tribe when she is in fact cousin of Elizabeth's who was one of the daughters of the levite Aaron?.
Can you tell me a verse in the Bible that will prove that a levite is a pure race just like the Philippines.
If you are going to read the entire Bible,you will see that the descendants of Abraham had an intermingling between the race of the tribes of Israel.
You are considered to be a levite because you belong to the sons of Aaron but on the side of the woman you are not sure.Why? Because there are instances that the daughters of the levite cannot Marry from other tribes in the Bible.
The book of Matt was written with the inspiration of the holy spirit.
Let's read Matt 1:18-24"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:when as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,before they came together,she was found with child of the holy ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man,and not willing to make her a public example,was randed to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things,behold,the Angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph,thou son of David fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife for that which is conceived in her is of the holy ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son,and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done,that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying, Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son,and they shall call his name "Emmanuel",which being interpreted is, God with us.
That's the story of our Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh.
Mary is the cousin of Elizabeth,so Mary is also a levite.
There are instances where you have cousins that are not from your tribe.
If you believe in the Bible,the Lord Jesus Christ came from the tribe of Judah and that is recorded in the book of Hebrews 7:14"For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah:pf which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
Our Lord came from the tribe of Judah.
How can he come from the tribe of Judah.
Judah is one of the twelve sons of Jacob.
