I am here to contribute to today's Bible exposition question:Was Jesus Christ crucified on a stake or on a cross.(part 2).
From the base of G2476: a stake or post (as set upright),that is (specifically) a pole or cross(as an instrument of capital punishment).
The Bible said he was nailed on the wooden cross made of tree.
It was not only Jesus that was nailed on the cross.
There are other two people that is the thieves.
There were three of them at Mount Golgoter.
And if you are going back to history,the Romans empire is banishing condemned criminals to die on the cross or on the tree.
All crosses are horizontally made, sometimes the one they call cross is just a post or a tree where they hang criminals.
It was not only Jesus that was hanged there but the criminals were also hanged on the cross but it doesn't resist our reading.
I believe that the Bible is plain,it is a cross,a post,a stake,a tree,all are synonyms.
