What is baptism in the Bible? (Part 1 of 3)

Hi

I am here to contribute to today's Bible exposition question:What is baptism in the Bible?(part 1).

I have nothing against those who go to Jordan river spending thousands of dialect from different parts of the world to be baptized in the river Jordan.
Let's read mark 10:39"And they said unto him,We can,and Jesus said unto them,ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of;and with the baptism that I am baptized with all shall ye be baptized.
The intent of baptism must not apply to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Baptism is the washing away of our sins according to the Bible.
The Lord Jesus Christ had nothing to repent of.
He did not commit any sin.
Let's read 1 Peter 2:22"who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.
So, there is no necessity for the Lord Jesus Christ to be baptized.
The people may repent from their sins and their sins be washed away.
Acts 2:38"Then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost.
So the intention is for the remission of sins.
Acts 22:16"And now why tarriest thou?arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins calling on the name of the Lord.
Some believe that it is a ritual to give a baby name but that is stupidity.
Jesus Christ was baptized to give example to the people.
At the age thirty years when he was baptized,it is not for the remission of sins but for repentance because he didn't commit any sin.
1 Peter 2:21"for even here unto we're ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that ye should follow his steps: Christ has shown Christians example of what they are going to do.
So,we shouldn't misunderstand the intention of baptism.
Thank you
