I am here to contribute to today's Bible exposition question: What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43?(part 2).
If you are submitting yourself to the righteousness of God.
Let's read the book of Matt.6:33"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Your righteousness is counted and is valuable in the sight of God.
There is a great difference between our righteousness and the righteousness of God.
If you are doing your own righteousness,how does God regard you?.
Let's read Luke 16:15" And he said unto them,ye are they which justify yourselves before men,but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
This is a clear indication that there is a great difference between the righteousness of God and that of man.
Ephesians 6:6"Not with eye service,as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart:you do not take anything out of the word of God,it must be in the context of the entire Bible itself.
There are some people that said that you don't have to do good anymore especially the Baptist but that is a reckless interpretation of the scripture.
It is true that faith will save us just like the thief on the cross.
He was justified because of his faith.
He was mearnt to die a few minute.
Let's see mark 15:32"let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.
And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
They were two thieves on the cross with Jesus, one on the right hand side and the other on the left hand side.
The thief on the cross was saved because of his faith.
