The word of God in this present time is preached based on the present situation or fashion of a country, as a result making God's commandment look old fashioned in the eyes of men.
A wife must keep her body for her spouse (husbands) and husband must keep his body for his spouse (wife), It got to a point where I understood that God was also indirectly talking to the singles (young men and women that are not married) not to dress half necked, no matter what kind of trending dress that will expose sensitive part of your body to the world,
But today the fashion of the world has been copied and brought to the church, single brothers and sisters no long were things that will cover their nakedness, as a result being the reason for other men sins in the church of God, as a result, unknowingly we crucifying Christ the second time,
If we dress half necked as a Christian in the church of God, we also indirectly help the devil to get more sinners into his kingdom, the victim might not even be a strong Christian and because of your dressing he/she might develop sexual lost
SECONDLY, I have also been a victim of this, most times I compare my spirituality with friend’s base on my fasting capability and make them feel unspiritual (less Godly),
I believe there are still Christians out there that dose the same,
But in this chapter, the bible said we should not fast as hypocrite, this kind of fasting is done so that men will see.
We should not squeeze our face or look sad when fasting, it should be in secret, because God who sees in secret will rewards us openly. Personally, I have noticed that, anytime I set a positive target without telling anyone I always successfully hit my goal, but when I tell my vision to friends, I find it difficult to accomplish that vision.
When fasting we should not act as if we are sick, we should always put up a smiling face, we should also give bread to the hungry.
With this act, it will be difficult for people around you to know that you are fasting, that was the wisdom of God behind this chapter
The bible is the only complete book on earth, and it was written by revelation, everything it takes for we Christians to make heaven is in the bible, most times because of our leader’s (pastor's) selfish interest they hide or divert our attention from the truth. I’ve heard a lot from our big spiritual Christian fathers brag about the way they fast and pray to their members. We have only a few of our spiritual fathers that preach the truth to their members, just as the bible says it will happen during end time. Thanks to #mcgi and other genuine spiritual fathers for standing out with no intention to displease anyone
THIRDLY, fasting is medicinal to us, it strengthen your immune system,
Fasting is a special way of talking to God,
most times the hungry for any kind of sin comes from the flesh, Jesus came through the flesh,
and the only condition that could make him sit at the right hand of God, was to kill his flesh ( by dying on the cross ) after killing his flesh he became more powerful than Satan, and the keys to life and death were given unto him. The flesh is always tasty for sin, fasting kills that taste and allows the sprite to concentrate. Having two masters in one house can lead to disagreement and disunity, this is because they will alway want to operate differently, but the body of christ is one, so in other to have a focus mind when praying,
The flesh has to be subjected to hunger, at this Point, the flesh is weak and the spirit now takes over, this is why communicating to God through praying and fasting is most effective,
