Hello everyone!
I want to contribute to the question: What do the bread and wine in the Holy Communion symbolize? (Part 1 of 2)
The literal bread and wine that is taken in some is not the holy communion. This is due to lack of understanding of the word of Jesus Christ.
John 6:63 say; it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.
It is the spirit that quickeneth. The new testament bread is spiritual. The bread and wine in the new testament is not the literal bread, but the spiritual bread.
John 6:50, talks about bread that's from above, that if one eats, he won't die.
So the bread that Jesus talked about is the bread from the father.
Thank you.
