Greetings everyone
According to Bro Eli, God cares for us more than we can care for ourselves. Not one of us shall die without the will and consent of the father, our God almighty. But we must not be preoccupied by that.m, but by what is coming forth after our death. That's when we'll have peace of mind. If we continue in faith and die in faith, we'll have peace of mind.
Bro Eli stressed the need for us not to always expect miracles, because the early Christians didn't always expect miracles, even the apostles that performed miracles died too.
Job in the Bible didn't always expect miracles, but accepted his fate. He did not suffer depression, he accepted his fate wholeheartedly even when his wife told him to curse God and die, he responded saying,
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. (Job 2:10)
Job said to his wife that we don't only receive good from God, that the wife spoke as one of the foolish women.
He further said that naked he came to the world, and naked shall he return. These show how firm job believed in God and accepted his fate.
Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
Whatever happens, let us not put the blame on God. Let us always believe that he is a compassionate God. He may be taking you away before the evil that is to come. That is what the Bible says. That's why Job and David did not suffer depression. They suffered the pain of enduring the trials like David, and they suffered the pain of the flesh, but never depressed because they trusted God even at the point of death. They were not depressed.
1 Peter Chapter 5: 7
Casting all your anxieties on him, for he cares for you.
If you believe that you are a child of God, he cares about you. A loving father will always care for his children. He will always provide for them, their food, clothing, shelter and protection from harm.
When there are earthquakes flooding, a good father is worried about his kids. He's worried when there are pestilences around. How much more will God care for us, his handmade. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on him for he cares about us. God cares for us more than we can care for ourselves.
