What I learned:
It is not everything that should be a commandment in the Church of God. There are decisions in the Church of God that bredren should take on their own for the promotion of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. There are things that the brethren should voluntarily do for the spread of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. So we now analyze that there are decisions that God has left for his children to take on their own, for them to be blessed. Giving in the Church of God is one of those decisions that should be taken voluntarily by the brethren as recorded in Second Corinthians Chapter 9, verse 7, the Bible says that every man should purpose in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, but should give cheerfully so. Decisions regarding giving in the Church of God, God has left it for his children to take on their own. So they have to give what they have, what their hearts desire. What their hearts desire decides. They should give. They should not be forced to give. There should be no fixed charges for offerings or contribution in the church.
The brethren should not be detected upon on what to give. Like tithing, tithing is not a doctrine of Christ because. It has a fixed price that is 10% of whatever somebody earns. So it is not a commandment of Christ. And it does not mean stealing from God if one does not give tight. Every offering in the Church of God should be voluntary. Another voluntary act in the Church of God, that God has left the decision for his children, is making of vows. Brethrens should make vow when they decide to do so on their own. They should not be forced to do so, and when they make vow, Ecclesiastes chapter 5 from verse four to five says they should redeem the vow, for it is better not to make vow than make vow without redeeming. We also learned from scriptures that. We should offer offerings of Thanksgiving to God for all the many benefits that we are receiving from God.
God has been so merciful, so kind to us, multiplying us, increasing us. And blessing us so much so we should always offer offerings of Thanksgiving to him. Now, when we make contributions in the Church of God, when we offer offerings of Thanksgiving, we should not boast about it. We should not publicize our offerings so that God sees in secret will bless us in open. So we should not let others to know our contributions, So that God will bless us.
