I appreciate God for yet another privilege to share what I learnt, on the topic, "Reasons to believe in God 2"
I learned that, an understanding mind must always believe that there is God. There was an engineer, a great designer, who made and fashioned our being, and that is God. The God that the Bible is introducing to us, his creation, reveals that he is almighty and he is powerful.
Romans 1:19 and 20
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
So it's clear there that the eternal power and Godhead of God is being understood by the things which he has created. The Bible tells us the invisible things of God from the creation of the world are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made, so the things that are made will make us understand his eternal power and Godhead. The things that exist now proves that there is God. Who made the moon? Who made the stars? Who made the planets? Who made our solar system, the galaxies? They did not just come out by accident, somebody designed them, even our human person.
To conduct a little study, we will be convinced that we came on Earth, not by accident. There is somebody who intended us to live on Earth, not on Mars, not on Jupiter. There is somebody who understands our being that put us on Earth to be our dwelling place, that designed our body, that prepared the foods that we need. And that someone who created everything around us is God so. An understanding mind must always believe that there is God.
Bro Eli narrated a story of two scientists, one believed in God, the other did not. They were arguing, one said there's God, the other said there's no God. So many instances the scientist who believes in God could not convince the scientist who does not believe in God that there really is a God. What happened after so long a time is that the scientist who believes in God took a small balls, different sizes, a ping pong ball, a basketball. He took every kind of ball and assembled the balls in his laboratory. And he made a model of the solar system. He took the basketball to represent the son. He took a ping pong ball to represent the earth. He took a marble to represent the moon, and he hung them by making a model of the solar system. By using strings, he hung them in his laboratory. When the scientist, his friend who does not believe in God, came, he showed the model of the solar system. Then the scientists who does not believe in God ask his friend, Who made this solar system in your laboratory? The scientist who believes in God said ohh, it just came like that, nobody made that. Now the scientists who do not believe in God said, oh, you are fooling me. How can this be here in your laboratory where nobody put them there. There must be somebody who put them there. Then the scientists who believe in God said. If this little marbles and balls, as you have said, cannot be here if there is nobody who put them here. Much so the real solar system, it cannot exist if nobody puts them there. He that put them there is God. From that time on, the scientist who does not believe in God believed in God because of what the other scientist has done. And it is logical if you cannot believe that artificial solar system, that model of the solar system was put in the laboratory. If you cannot believe that, nobody put it there, much more so, you must not believe that the solar system, the real solar system will not be there if nobody put them there. And the one who put them there, the stars, the sun, the moon, the galaxies, the solar system, must be God. So people must believe in God because of the works of his hands.
