Why Do People Die? | Part 2 of 3| The Old Path

in MCGI Cares Hivelast year

Hello brethren.

I appreciate God for yet another privilege to share what I learnt, on the topic, "Why Do People Die?"

I learned that, death does not mean evil to those who serve God. Our death rather tells us something important, which is that there will be judgment. We will face judgment as we face death. We inevitably also will face the judgment seat of God come the day of Judgement.

Acts 17:31,

Because he hath appointed a day in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained, whereof he hath given assurance unto all men in that he hath raised him from the dead.

We can see that the death of our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us something. But his resurrection from the dead teaches us another thing. His death taught us that we will inevitably die and his resurrection teaches us that we'll surely resurrect to face the judgement seat of God. So we cannot deny or escape from that. And that proves to us the existence of God. Nobody can escape death.

Ecclesiastes.8:8

There is no man that had power over the spirit to retain the spirit, neither hath he power in the day of death.

The above scripture is very clear. There is no man that had power over the spirit to retain the spirit. Neither had he the power in the day of death. No man. So we are all helpless. When the appointed day comes, we are all helpless. The Bible tells us we have no power. No man have power over the spirit. And we also have no power in the day of judgement. So death is something that teaches us that there is somebody that exists who owns our lives. We do not live by ourselves. We live because God allows us to live.
Acts 17:28

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

The scripture is very clear, as we live, we owe our existence to God, if he will not allow us to exist, we will die. So when we die, it means that God has already given us enough chance to serve him. To know him, to follow him, and to obey him. Now there is something in death. The word of God tells us something miraculous about death.

Proverbs 10: 27.

The fear of the Lord's prolonged days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

The fear of the Lord prolonged days. Even if there is an appointed time of death. If a person fears the Lord, the Lord can prolong your days. The Lord can tarry you're death. The Lord can extend your life. Because the word of God tells us the fear of the Lord's prolonged days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

So, death is not something which is evil. People fear death because they thought it is something evil, no. If you know God's ways and you know God's truth, death does not mean evil to those who serve God.
