Here are some of the highlighted lessons i learnt from the mass indoctrination that took place in Zoom on the 16th of August 2021.

Brother Eli talked about the importance been willing. Willingness is a vital virtue that we should all posses. You don’t need to be commanded. If truly we are guided by the Spirit, we should not wait to be told before taking on some obligations and sticking to that.
It’s a vow, and a vow is not a commandment from God. It’s a decision we take up for ourselves to perform certain task and willingly follow it to the end.
An example of vow is Marriage, it is not prohibited for a Man of God to get married, marriage is an obligation that you put on yourself. No one is forcing you and if you have the fear of God, you would bind to it.
Numbers 30:2 When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.

I also learnt that giving is not something that needs to be forced upon the body of Christ but its A choice that individual makes, an example is found where a poor widow came into the synagogue that Christ was ministering and gave what she could with a cheerful hear, Christ commended her by saying she is the one that has given rightly. We can see first that she came willingly to give and it was not imposed on her as many prophets try to do and secondly she gave with a cheerful heart with means the state of our mind when giving is also important.

Another reference about vow is in
Acts 18:18 Paul stayed on in Corinth for some time. Then he left the brothers and sisters(A) and sailed for Syria,(B) accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila.(C) Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchreae(D) because of a vow he had taken.
We can see that Paul took a vow also to cut his hair. Although the detail was not mention but from here we can get the idea of taking personal vows and sticking to it.

Vow should be fulfilled, it is better not to take any vow than to take one and fail to fulfill it.
Ecclesiastics 5:4-5 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it.(A) He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.(B) 5 It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.
Tithing and offering is another important aspects of vow. It’s not a commandment, it should be done according to the capacity of the individual
Mark 12:41-44 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put(B) and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
