Here are some of the lessons picked up from the mass indoctrination day 7 that took place in zoom on the 10th of August 2021.
During this mass indoctrination service, i learnt that We have often heard that in the days of old, it was advisable to love your neighbors and hate your enemies, this increased the number of hatred in the society because there would always be someone who would offend us. But as Christ as shown and instructed us, we must love even our enemies and pray for them. There are certain religions that teaches that murder is Godly and this is antichrist because that is not the doctrine of Christ. We can see this in the book of
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
What Christ has instructed rather was to perform good works that would enable us live peacefully even with out neighbors and enemies, but this can’t be archived if we lack love in our heart, for love helps us get through difficult times and also with love, we see the world differently. Above all doctrines and righteousness, the primary thing we should possess is love.
Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
We should learn to Love our enemies and do good to them, this is the true teaching of Christ. If your enemy is thirsty, give him something to drink, if he's hungry feed him, if he's naked, cloth him. Pray for those that persecute you. let’s see what the Bible have to say about this in
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
When God told us to love our neighbors and enemies, as ourselves he instructed us to follow a simple and honest path to righteousness because life becomes easy for everyone if there is love existing.
Another important factor is to love God above all things and keep His commandments because if we love someone and the person reciprocates the love, it’s logical to listen and follow what they have to say that would make our lives productive.
Mark 12:30-31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Do good to all men equally without being biased. If God who is our perfect example takes care of those that don't obey Him, how much more we His followers. Be considerate and radiate kindness around you.
The main aim of showing love to our enemies is to win souls to Christ because the light that radiates from your life when you treat them with love will attract their souls to Christ.
