Here are some of the lessons i learn from the worship service that took place in Zoom on the 6th of August 2021.
During the service, i learnt that Faith is an essential ingredient for us to have as a Christian and a child of God but it must be accompanied with good works and also with love, this displays proof of our believe and faith in God. We should learn to have a loving heart, that would make whatever we are doing easy and we would want to do more.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. ... But the greatest of these is love.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
From the above verse we can see that there is a path that God has ordained for us to walk in. If we derail from that path we would encounter difficulties in life, so it is essential to walk the Old path with Love and understanding of God. We might be tempted to think that we are walking the right path, especially when we don’t listen to correction, we can see this in the book of
Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.
It is essential for us to always check ourselves so we won’t fall short of the path God has ordained us to walk in. So as christian, we should all know that not all the paths leads to God, but only by doing good with love in our hearts accompanied by our faith in Christ Jesus, by doing that we have established ourselves as God’s children aiming for His Kingdom.
James 3:14
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
If we love God we would fear Him, it’s logical for a child to fear and keep the commandments of His parents because he loves and respect them. In a similar way, we would fear God and keep His commandments if we truly love Him. We can see this in
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
2 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
