LESSONS LEARNED:
I learnt that bible study is necessary because of the deceptions in today's world.
Many are paying attention to lies and are doing unrighteousness according to 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12.
Our God cannot lie, as recorded in Titus 1:2, so we should always trust in the word of God.
The Bible has made it clear that God created the surface of the earth for man's dwelling. This is why other planets can't support life.
The word of God is true.
God is an all-wise God; he prohibited the Israelites from eating bat and some other animals and today, it's been discovered that those animals contain viruses capable of infecting man.
God even instructed that those who come in contact with the dead carcasses of those animals should bath and wash their clothes, and even remain uncleaned till evening, just to get rid of contamination, according to Leviticus 11:28.
God had also commanded against crossbreeding. He created fruits with seeds in them, but today, there are genetically modified organisms. Many of these organisms have been adulterated, causing health hazards to man.
In Leviticus 19:19, God warned against mingling of different species of animals together.
Today, crossbred animals suffer serious health challenges and even die young.
Scientists claim that life came from primordial soup, this is false. Even the experiment they conducted to proof this, failed.
According to Acts 17:26, God made of one blood all nations of men, to dwell in the earth.
In verses 27 and 28, we understand that God created us to seek him, and that it's in him we live, move and have our beings. So life came from God.
To further proof this, scientists have discovered that every human came from one woman, through the mitochondrial DNA which could only pass down the maternal line and can be traced to one woman.
Before this discovery, Genesis 3:20, had already recorded that Adam name his wife Eve, because she's the mother of all living.
We also see in Genesis 1:20, that God commanded moving creatures that had life to come forth from the seas. So life came from God.

I had no contrary belief regarding this topic.
EFFECTS OF THE TEACHING:
I have been made to understand why bat was prohibited to be eaten by Israelites.
I further understood why God warned against crossbreeding.
