LESSONS LEARNED:
Baptism is a commandment of God and should be obeyed in the church of God.
The first doctrine of Christ is baptism.
According to Acts 22:16, the Bible records that Paul commanded to be baptized, after he encountered Christ on his way to Damascus.
It's also that after his baptism, Paul became a preacher in the church of God, as in Galatians 1:23.
Ezra 7:23 makes is clear that whatever is commanded by God should be diligently carried out in the house of God.
And in 1 Timothy 3:15, we're made to understand that the house of God is the church of God.
Baptism as the first doctrine of Christ, is solely intended for the washing away of one's sins.
We see in Acts 2:41 how that those who received the teachings of the apostles were baptized to join the church of God.
So the Church of God should be joined.
we're made to understand in Ephesians 3:6 that we should be fellow heirs and of the same body.
The body is the church of God, and Christ is the head, Colossians 1:18.
Baptism is for the washing away of sins, according to Acts 22:16.
After the encounter of Saul on his way to Damascus, he was baptized and became a preacher in the church of God.
There's only one body, the church of God.
The Bible records that Christ is the head of that body.
There's also one spirit according to Ephesians 4:4.
The Bible in 1 Corinthians 12:13, records that we're baptized into one body, one spirit, both Jews and gentiles.
True baptism is in that one body.
Baptism should be done in the name of the father, which is a place. i.e, the church of God, where all the doctrines of Christ is taught.
When Jesus commissioned his disciples to baptize, he asked them to teach all he commanded them.
So anyone who baptize, should be able to teach all the doctrines of Christ.
Many are baptizing with name of the father, not in the name of the father.
So we should Always be careful.
