Bro Daniel taught us from the word of God to be doers of God's word, not hearers alone, because only the doers are justified. According to Matthew 7:24-27:

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

He further pointed out that doing according to the word of God helps us to stand firm in God's precepts, and we will know the truth of God's word, so that we can ignore every strange doctrine that may be spoken to us by other people. Doing the word of God helps us to grow spiritually...

We also need to strive hard to establish our faith in God by making our calling and election sure. We must be bold to teach others the word of God that we know, so that they can also come to salvation. We must be ambassadors of God here on earth. Doing this will help us not to fall.

2 Peter 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

Another important note from this teaching is that we must always do a self examination, to assess ourselves if we are still in faith. We must examine ourselves and see if Jesus is still being revealed in our actions and our words.

Finally, we also learnt that there are levels of perfection, according to Philippians 3:15...

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

It is not only those who have died in Christ that are made perfect, but for we who are still alive, and have given our lives to Christ, we have attained a level of perfection, but we keep increasing, so that we may have the same testimony as the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11.

Thank God for this session, see you next time, keep on living the word!
