Preaching the gospel is a general commandment to all children of God. God is very happy when a soul repents. It is not God's will that any should perish but all should come to repentance. But how would men come to repentance if the gospel(the goodnews ) is not preach to them?
However, we saw in the book of Mark 16:15, where it was said that the should be preached to all creature.
- Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
It not true that the gospel should be preached to every creature including the animals as some would interpret the above creature to be so .
We have the right interpretation of this in the book of Matthew 28:19
- Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Understanding is very important in interpreting the bible. What we are to folllow is the account of Matthew on this issue.
