Lesson learned from today teaching.
Bro Eli continue his teaching on prayer by making us understand that we don't just pray anyhow and think of getting a good result there is some things we must follow which is very important like not praying repetitively, showcasing our self when we pray or still commiting sin.
We are also taught that fasting is a special way of asking from God but only fasting cannot be carryout without prayer both goes in hand with each other. As husband and wife when fasting there should be abstinence from sexual intercourse and we should loose the band of wickedness around us, should not hold grudges with anyone, hate anyone, behave in an irrational way, treat someone anyhow and perhaps if anybody is owning us that we know the person did not have a means of paying back we should let go of the money.
We were also taught that the period of fasting is not to gather resources but give don't say I will not eat in the morning let me keep the food instead we should give the food out. We should give anything we can afford during fasting
Bro Eli also made us understand that science even support the act of fasting because fasting helps to regenerate the immune system. it is like a switch to fight against disease and make our body and organs to function well.
Generally as a woman we should always ware decent cloth because our body is for our husbands and the bible taught us not to commit adultery with our eyes. if we now put on indecent clothing we are not helping the men at all from commiting adultery so it is important we play our own role too in preventing adultery and we should remember that the man is the head of the family.
A man should not have long hair it is a shame to him but to a woman long hair is her covering and anything a man does for himself he should do also for his wife. bro Eli also encouraged women to help their husbands from liking another woman, both parents should try and know the doctrine of our lord Jesus Christ as this will prevent them from giving birth to drug addicts or children that did not fear the Lord.
