Greetings everyone, I welcome you all to my blog.
It's another great day to listen to the word of God by his servant Bro Eli Soriano
To live a truly meaningful and improved life, we must follow the teachings and principles of the gospel, not the old law of Moses. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings good news and focuses on love, which is quite different from the “tit for tat” nature found in the law of Moses.
When we examine the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, which form the foundation of the gospel, we see that everything He taught is centered on love, something that contrasts sharply with the law of Moses.
For example, in Matthew 5:43:44, the scripture says: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, "Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat and persecute you.”
This passage shows two messages from the same chapter. The first reflects the law of Moses: love your neighbor but hate your enemy. The second reflects the gospel of love for both your neighbor and your enemy. This clearly shows how the gospel operates with a higher standard of love.
Therefore, to live the best life possible, we must embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is rooted in pure, genuine love.
Philippians 1:27 encourages us to let our lifestyle reflect the gospel of Christ. Whether people see us or not, we must stand firm in one spirit and one purpose, working together for the faith of the gospel.
Additionally, we are instructed to ensure our words and behavior align with the gospel. This means avoiding corrupt or sinful conversations that can lead us away from righteousness.
Bro. Eli further explained the secret to living a gospel-centered life through the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5:3–5 and 7–11:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
These teachings guide us on how to live a life that reflects the true essence of the gospel.
