The Purpose of Our Existence
Every human being was created with a divine intention to serve as a vessel of honor before the Almighty. We are not here by accident; our Maker, God, designed each of us with a purpose that reflects His glory. To live meaningfully, we must align our lives with His will and become vessels that bring Him honor.
The Scriptures in 2 Timothy 2:20–21 paint a vivid picture of this truth. It says, “In a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honor and others for dishonor. If anyone cleanses himself from what is unworthy, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.”
This passage reminds us that we all have the potential to be used by God, but it is our personal choice and effort that determine what kind of vessel we become. To be a vessel of honor, we must cleanse our hearts, live in righteousness, and dedicate ourselves to doing the works that please God.
Our journey in life becomes purposeful when we serve as honorable vessels instruments through which God’s light shines. As Bro. Eli wisely emphasized, this is the true essence of a meaningful life: to live in a way that glorifies God and serves humanity.
Beyond this, we are also called to live in love. Fraternal love strengthens our bond as brethren and reflects the nature of Christ in us. When we love one another genuinely, we not only make others happy but also fulfill our divine purpose with joy and peace in our hearts.
May we all strive to be vessels unto honor pure, prepared, and pleasing to our Master.
