I will be sharing with you below some of the important points I learnt from our Bible study held today been the 7th if December,2022. With a short video reaction.
We were meant to some people are enemies of the bible and are destroying the bible by misinterpretatng the bible. And example was given which I will be sharing with you below.
How many prophet and are they really prophet of God?
There are some prophets that are not prophet of God. That misinterpreted the bible that God gave a lieing spirit which Is totally wrong.
Jeremiah 23:14 God saw a horable thing in the prophets of Jerusalem. They were adulterers and they work in lies. They have no desire to change or even been remorseful.
Jeremiah 23:21 So these prophets are liers God did not speak to them like they claimed while prophecing .
1 kings 22:23 God put lieing spirit in these prophets because he has seen that they do not have desire to be a good prophet so he gave them what they want.Why?
2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 These people do not really want the truth. They only desire lies.
Isaiah 5:20 There are some people who are doing evil things and do not want to stop but continue in the evil doings .while the good and righteous once keep in doing good things.
If you want to be safe God will help you to be safe and if you choose to perish he will help you as well. Because the choice is yours all he does is to help you. If you want to be save is a thing of choice and if you want otherwise is your choice and a free will thing no one is forcing you.
So, the allegations of some people against the bible that God gave a lieing spirit is not true. It is what those prophets choose that God gave to them. They saw light yet choose darkness.
Another Example that was given was about how Rahab saved the messengers of Joshua
Joshua 2:4-6 Rahab saved the messengers of Joshua from the people that was trying to kill them.
James 2:25 Though Rahab was a prostitute but has a good spirit or spirit to do good. So she was justified by God. Because her lies was to save a soul .
My formal belief that was improved by listening to the word during the gathering
Initial,I thought even if you are prophet and you have been doing good and you mistakenly lied of steal. even if is to save a soul you are not going to be justified by God.
How the study has affected by belief and make me a better person
Is that, a sin can be justified or forgiven after considering that condition or circumstances behind it. E.g those that called themselves prophets and they do evil things. While Rahab is a prostitute with a good heart.
