EASTER CELEBRATION PART 3// MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

in MCGI Cares Hive15 days ago (edited)

Alright i think i am heading somewhere right now.
so, for some days now, about a week, i have been studying with the videos of Brother Eli Soriano about the validity of the mode christians celebrate easter in the current days.

Many findings have been made and my head have been bubbling with lots of questions and mostly - disbeliefs and well, i feel lied to. Anyways, the last video (part 3)is here and it is time to clear the tension in my head.

In the normal celebration of Easter by Christians of today, the death of Christ always happens on a friday and the resurrection happens on a sunday. this is practically wrong because according to the bible, in exodus, when the Isrealites was leaving Egypt, God instructed Moses to make that month the month that starts the year. Lets read the book of Exodus, shall we?

Exodus 12:2-3 and 6 and 11

Exodus 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: 12:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.

As you can see from the passage, the commandment was give to Moses. Currently, the Christians practise Christianity in their own ways. From the Easters observed, the death of Christ is always on a friday while his resurrection is on a Sunday. This practice is not what is written in the scriptures. Go up and read again.

This commandment totally changed the calender. However, Calender is what is called the Hebrew calender and this is what is supposed to be used by all Christians.

The Hebrew calender is the calender used by Christ two thousand years ago because he observed the passover.

following the hebrew calender, there is no such thing like christmas or the like. Christ died only once and then he resurrected on the third day. the date should not be changed, however the day can change. we are supposed to be celebrating the last super which is on Nissan 13. Nissan is the first day of the Hebrew calender and i think this is what i will start using.

Thanks to Bro Eli for this eye opener.

I hope to learn more from MCGI.
