1 John 5:15 - 16 (NIV)

And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

There are sins that lead to death and those that don't lead to death - sins that are not premeditated. If a fellow believer sin against you don't spread a rumour about a brother that sins against you or that is sinning but we should forgive if we are to get the forgiveness of God and also pray for them. When our fellow believer sins, we should not spread rumours about them but rather we should pray for them even if they sin against us. We should seek to restore and not tear them down.

We are to confess our sins to God and not to a priest. If we sin against a fellow human, then we should also confess to them.

James 5:17 (NIV)

Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.

Prayer is important for everything. When another sin against you, it is expected that you pray for such a person just as the person is expected to pray for you when you fall into sin.

When a believer falls into sin, the Bible made it clear that we are to confess to God first and not anyone else. If we happen to sin against another fellow human, then we are to confess to God first and then to the person we sinned against. We are not expected to hate anyone but to pray for them.

Psalm 32:5 (NIV)

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Sins can be forgiven when confessed. God promised forgiveness in healing.

The Glory of Christ came from the East which is why MCGI face the East while praying.

We should also not pray repetitively. God says before we call on Him He would answer us and while we are yet speaking He said He would hear us. God knows what we want to ask even before we ask Him. There is no need to keep reciting and repeating the same words over and over again.

Proverbs 28:13 (NIV)

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

It is prohibited for us to pray repetitively. The prayer of the upright is heard by God. Our sins are forgiven when we pray. If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, He says He would hear from heaven and forgive us. We need to humble ourselves, pray and seek God's face. Daniel had not even finished praying before God sent Angel Gabriel to give answers to his request.

Matthew 6:7 - 8 (NIV)

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

We have a duty to pray that's why the Bible called the temple a house of prayer. We are to pray without ceasing and that means we should pray at all times.

There are some people who do wrong because they don't know. We shouldn't get angry with them but we should pray for them and be kind to them so they can change. Prayers for fellow bretheren can do so much good for them.

Daniel 6:10 (NIV)

Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

God is not wicked that He will willingly afflict or grieve us. God is bigger than all our problems and we should be contented with the things that we have.

Prayer is important to us, believers.
