Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NIV)
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
Obedience to God is important. The good works we are to do are the things God asked us to do. We are to work into good deeds.
Proverbs 3:27 (NIV)
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
In whatever duty we are doing, in whatever good works we find to do, in whatever God has committed into our hands, we are expected to be faithful in it. He cited the case of the servants with talents as written in Matthew 25:23. He was faithful to his own part and got rewarded for it.
He charged us to trust God even in moments of trials. When we pray, we should have faith. We shouldn't doubt because the devil wants us to doubt.
Matthew 6:31-32 (NIV)
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
Do not be anxious. The devil wants you to be anxious so as to doubt and when you doubt, he can attack you.
Matthew 6:20 & 24 (NIV)
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
You cannot serve God and be anxious. The Bible told us to seek first God's Kingdom. Many people are anxious because they did not put God first. You can't serve God and the devil at the same time and where our treasure is that is where our heart would be. God is our ultimate treasure in Heaven because all things come from Him.
