Genesis 12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
Abraham obeyed God and left all to a strange land and God honored his word by bringing his promises to him to pass. God fulfilled that word through his grandson Jacob when he changed his name to Israel and till date Israel is still a great nation.
God also told Abraham that his descendants will go through slavery in a strange land for 400years after which he will deliver them. And God kept his word by sending Moses to deliver them after 430years.
Genesis 15:13 Then the LORD said to him, 'Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there."
When we obey God’s commandments, He will fulfill his promises to us. Every tribe of Israel was delivered from the hand of Pharaoh in Egypt after the captivity according to the word of God.
