Here is my contribution to the topic;
Mathew 6:33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Jesus Christ said we should seek the righteousness of God and all other things shall be added.
If you submit to the righteousness of God, then your righteousness is counted and valuable before God.
Those who try to work out their own righteousness are abominations to God. According to
Luke 16:15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
God regards our righteousness as filthy rags and an abomination.
Bro Eli also said that we should not be men pleasers according to Ephesians 6:6.
We should also not be deceived that good works is wrong according to some misconceptions. As Christians we should do good works, that doesn’t mean thy we are walking out our righteousness.
