According to the bible, God created man and when he saw that the man was lonely, he made the man to fall asleep and he used one of his ribs to create a woman to be the man's companion. He did not create women for the man, this shows that God does not support polygamy right from the beginning.
Nowadays, people go against God's will by marrying more than one wife or husband in the name of tradition and culture. In the bible we see how those who go against God's will by marrying more than one wife or sleeping with someone else wife where been punished, that's to show that everyone of us must give account on how we live our lives here on earth on the last day.
As christians, we should always follow and obey God's teaching and commandments. Everyone has the perfect husband or wife created for him or her by God, our duty is to pray for the will of God to manifest rather than marrying many wives or husband. Let's always follow God's teaching and commandments in other to obtain the blessings that comes from obedience to God's will.
