We have benefits in Christ being our head because wherever the head benefit from will also be the benefit of the other part of the body. John 3:16 Act 13:39 Through Christ, everyone is justified and blessed. Everyone that believes through Christ is justified. John 14:12 John 15:5 Us doing greater work doesn't mean we will do greater work than Christ. Colossians 1:24 Even if we are Apostle Paul, we can say we are greater than Christ. It is through us that Christ will work and it is through our body that Christ will be justified. Philippians 1:20 Christ is going to work in that is why Christ will be justified in our body.
It is Christ that will do the greater work through Christ. There is no way we can do great work if we are separated from Christ. It is Christ that is working on the believers because He is not going to work on unbelievers. Apostle Paul will not claim to be greater than Christ because He claimed to be greater than Christ. Romans 16:13 We should offer ourselves to God as instruments of righteousness. Our connection to the Lord Jesus Christ is that we believe in Him. Christ will continue to work in us. It was Christ working in Paul that makes him do greater works. Hebrew 10:5. Christ is the head of the body which is the Church.
I got to learn that we do greater work doesn't mean we will do greater work than Christ. I got to learn that it is through us that Christ will work and it is through our body that Christ will be justified. I got to learn that we should offer ourselves to God as instruments of righteousness.
Teaching helps me to know how to be humble for God to work through us. The teaching helps us to know how to trust in God because that is how to be courageous in the Lord and for God to do great work through us.
