Peer pressure is real and it's not only teenagers that experience it even adults do too. I understand how difficult it may be to resist at the moment when all the people around you appear to be moving in the opposite direction, when the friends want to get you into doing things that you are aware are bad, simply so that you will fit in. However, being a child of God the bible tells us in Romans 12:2 says "Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind".
For us to overcome peer pressure, we have to identify ourselves in Christ first. After I realize that I was never even made for the world and I am loved by God, the approval of the world was no more necessary to me again. We should also make good selection of friends, 1 Corinthians 15:33 says that "Bad company corrupts good manners".
Prayer also helps a lot, God can help you overcome peer pressure when you tell him about it in prayers, also read your Bible every day to ensure that you have a strong spirit.
You do not have to act like others do but allow your light to shine through good conduct. People might laugh at the beginning but at the end of it they will admire me that you could stand your ground. By the grace of God, I pray we will be able to say no to the bad and yes to what pleases Him. Amen
Prayer is the one weapon we can use to overcome peer pressure.
