THE IMPORTANT POINTS IN THE LESSON
Good day great people of MCGI Care Community! Today is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it. I want to appreciate this great platform for the good works they are doing.
Today's program was wonderful with many lessons, we learnt that there are ways God expects us to dress as His Children. That there are scripturally recommended apparel. Below are the few lessons I learnt.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
We were taught that even though our outward man perishes but our inward man is renewed day by day. Our outward man is referred to our body, the outward man is our flesh but the inward man is spiritual. We are encouraged not pay attention to temporal things because the things our physical eyes can see are temporal, but the things our physical eyes can't see are eternal, they are spiritual.
We were taught that every child of God has two being namely the outward man and the inner man.
Matthew 7:15
We learnt from this scripture that it's not every man that has the inner man inside of them; that there are some men that has an inner beast inside of them and the Bible referred to the false prophets as example of such kind of men.
There are two kinds of men described by the Bible; those that has the inner man inside of them and those that have the inner beast inside of them.
Proverbs 26:11
We equally learnt how to identify those men that possess the inner beast inside of them. They are people that repeat their wrong doing just like a dog returns to it vomit. These kind of people are those that have the inner beast inside of them. They are people that are human outwardly but inwardly they are beast.
Romans 7:22
The inward man feels delighted or joyful in the law of God. They are men Who hates the law of God. One of the signs that a man must see to know that he has the inner man inside of him is that he delights in the law of God. For example the commandment of God says that husband should love their wife, so any husband that doesn't obey this commandment doesn't have the inner man inside of him. Some men treats their wife like slave, they don't take care of them, some equally turn their wives into a punching bag, these kind of men have the inner beast inside of them.
Psalm 40:8
We learnt from this scripture that David's delights is to do the Will of God and to keep His law. It is the same with Everyman that has the inward man inside him. God expects us to obey His commandment and to do things that pleases Him. It is only those people that has beast inside of them that doesn't delight in the law of God.
There's a kind of feeling you would have inside of you if you have the inner man.
2 Corinthians 3:5
We were encouraged to always examine ourselves to be sure we have the inner man and not the inner beast. It is in examining ourselves that we can know what we really are. It is only God and us that knows what we have inside of us. For us to be sure that we are not behaving like those that have the inner beast then self assessment is very very necessary.
1 Peter 3:3-4
We were taught about the importance of adorning our inner man of the heart. We were encouraged not to be like some people who take their time to beautify their outward man and pay no attention to their inner man. These kind of people looks very good outwardly but inwardly they are beast. Some women spend their time and energy in adorning their hair with different chemicals just for them to look good outwardly, but most times these chemicals turns out to cause them to have some disease like Cancer.
We were taught that our skin has two functions, one of which is to excrete and the other is to absorb. So if we apply the wrong chemicals on our body it would be absorbed by our skin and may lead to something that is not good.
Hosea 2:13
We learnt from this scripture that one of the consequences of paying much attention to our outward man is that it may make us to forget God. We we spend the time we are supposed to use to adorn our inner man to adorn our outward man it may lead us far away from God.
Isaiah 3:16-24
God in this scripture was angry with the daughters of isreal who were haughty because of their too much adorning of their outward man. They were various punishment that was apportioned to them for being proud. God is not happy when His Children are proud and haughty.
Many women today have different diseases because of their disobedience to the commandment of God. If we want to be in good health let's obey God
Psalm 119:11
In this scripture we were taught how to adorn our inner man. We were encouraged to adorn our inner man with the word of God. The inner man is spiritual and needs to be adorn by the word of God which is spirit.
MY EXPECTATIONS THAT WAS IMPROVED
I learnt that women should adorn themselves with modest apparel. It is not good for a woman to expose her body parts.
I learnt that even though God doesn't look at the outward man, that it is very important we take care of our outward man especially the women because if they don't take good care of it they may lead their fellow men to sin. For example women that expose their body parts can lead their fellow men to sin.
I learnt that every preacher or priest that loves God's people will not hide the truth of God's word from them.
I also learnt that we should always be grateful to God, our parents and our mentors
I learnt that we human beings are like clay in the hand of the Potter and we are not expected to complain but to appreciate God for the way He created us.
