THE IMPORTANT POINTS IN THE LESSON
Greetings great people of MCGI Care Community! I bring greetings in the name of the Lord. I want to appreciate God for yet another day of our mass indoctrination program, we are gradually coming to the end of our mass indoctrination program.
Today's program had so much lessons, we were taught that men are created with so many desires, but the desire to seek God is not natural, it is God that create such desire in a man
Romans 2:4
We learnt from this scripture that the goodness of God leads us to repentance. Everyone that decides to repent did not decide to repent because of himself, but because God made it possible. If a person has the desire to discover the will of God it is the work of God.
Philippians 2:13
We learnt from this scripture that it is God that worketh in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Naturally as human beings we don't desire to do good, but it is God who plant the desire to do good in us. The desire of children is to play; the desire of a grown man is to make money and marry. Natural man doesn't have the desire to know God or to seek His ways. The desire of a man are the things of the world, earthly things. But the day a man begins to desire God it is because God has planted the desire in his heart.
The desire of a man to know God is from God
Colossians 3:1-2
We learnt from this scripture that if we are risen with Christ then let's seek those things that are above and not earthly things. It is natural for a man to seek earthly things. To desire to build a dream house, to marry and to raise children are the desire of a natural man. God wants us to seek heavenly things.
Acts 17:26-27
From this scripture we learnt that it is in God we live, move and have our being. If God doesn't give us life we won't be alive today. God made man to dwell in this Earth in order that we seek Him. It is God's desire for Man to seek Him
Acts 18:2
We learnt from this scripture that there are so many racist scattered all over the world. It is not good to be a racist. No matter the race we came from God's ultimate desire for everyone of us is for us to seek Him. God is closer to them that seek Him
Ephesians 2:11-12
We learnt from this scripture that there are people who are far from God. We have an obligation to seek God and to draw nigh to Him. If we have the desire to draw close God, the devil will do everything possible to hinder us
Acts 13:7-10
Here we saw how the devil tried to hinder the deputy from hearing God's word through a man called Elymas. If we are not sensitive like Paul the devil may hinder us from knowing God.
We learnt that the devil can use anybody to hinder our desire of knowing God, he can use our parents, friends and our brothers.
Matthew 13:3-8
In this scripture we were told the parable of a sower who went out to sow different seed; we learnt that some of the seed fell by the way side and the birds of the air ate the; some seed fell on a rocky soil, some fell on torns and some fell on good ground.
The growth of the seeds were affected by the kind of ground they fell on
Luke 8:11-15
In this scripture we were taught the interpretation of the parable. We learnt that the seed the sower went out to sow was the word of God. The places the seeds fell referred to the different kinds of heart that men has.
- The way side heart: This kind of heart belongs to some human being. These are those that hears the word of God but as soon as the finish hearing the word of God, the devil comes and snatches it away.
- The Stony heart: This is another type of heart. These are people that hears the word, but because they lack root when Persecutions comes they fall away.
- The Torny heart: This is the third kind of heart: These are people that are filled with too much ambitions, vices and desires. These set of people hears the word but the cares of this world chokes the word of God.
- The good heart: This the best kind of heart. They are those that hears the word of God and accept it and bears fruits in different folds.
We were encouraged to examine our to know the kind of heart we have.
Ezekiel 36:26-28
We learnt from this scripture that it is possible to have a changed heart. God promises to grant us a new heart; a heart of flesh; He promises to take away the heart of stone.
No matter how bad our hearts may be God is able to change our hearts and give us a new heart. A heart that is good and bears good fruits comes from God
2 Timothy 2:4
We learnt from this scripture that God desires that all man be saved. God has the ability to change us and make us better. He wants every man to be save, no matter the kind of lives we have lived in the past God can still make us better.
Paul in his time lived a very careless live until he met God who transformed his live and made him better.
MY EXPECTATIONS THAT WAS IMPROVED
I learnt that God wants all men to be saved and that He has the ability to change our hearts.
I learnt that God is far from those that doesn't seek Him, but He is close to those that seeks Him.
I learnt that the natural man cannot desire God. For one to desire God, then God would plant the desire in our hearts.
I learnt that we have four different kinds of hearts; the way side heart, the Stony heart, the Torny heart and the good heart.
I learnt that my obligations is to seek God.
