We were taught today about the need for us to be people who have self control because without us having self control we will end up spoiling things both in the house of God and towards where our fellow brethren are. we must ensure that we enrich ourselves with having long suffering and patience even when things seem not to be working well for us we should never turn our back on God knowing that the devil is monitoring us to know when we will sin against our God so that he can strike us as seen according to the book of 1 PETER 5:8 we are instructed by God's word for us to be careful in all we do because never will the devil be pleased with us because we do not belong on his side.
We must put in self control if not for any other thing just because of our father in heaven, we must ensure that we be part of Christ Jesus and we can only be part of Christ Jesus when we are found as christians who has self-control as people who are ready to control ourselves when been provoked to anger as seen in the book of 1 CORINTHIANS 9:25. we must be seen as people who are conscious of things which proceed out from our mouth, we must not be seen as people who easily say things without considering the effect of what they bring both in the church of God and among the children of God as seen according to God's word in the book of JAMES 3:2.
True Christans who call themselves God's child must be careful of whatever we consume. We must not be seen as people who eat with an evil person nor should we be seen dining with such a Person as seen according to God's word in the book of ROMANS 14:20. we are to understand that God word is for correction for direction and for understanding, therefore we must ensure that we dwell deeply in God's word so that we can have full knowledge of God's WORD In us .we must be seen meditating on it day and night and for the rest of our lives so that we won't fall as a prey to the devil and his works as seen in the book of 1 TIMOTHY 3:16.
In all we do we must recognise that God still remains our supreme being in heaven and if we are living we are living for him and if we eventually die we die for him. Therefore In as much as we know this all we are expected to do is to cling to God knowing that he is the surest way to eternity as seen in the book of ROMANS 14:6-8 But we are to be conscious in whatever we consume or eat we should be seen as people who eat to the glory of God and as well drink to the glory of God as seen according to 1 CORINTHIANS 10:31 we must not drink ourselves to become someone who people will because of us speak against God.
1 THESSALONIANS 5:18 Let us be seen as people who always return thanksgiving to God. We must everyday remain grateful to God. In whatever we might be passing through or in any trouble we might have found ourselves we must ensure that we give thanks to God knowing that he will come around for our aid . We must not set our eyes on things which are high but In all let us set our spirit in doing great and marvelous work for our father in heaven as seen in the book of PROVERB 23:5 we must depart from all the gathering of evil people neither should we be found among them nor are we to be seen eating that which belongs to them we must not desire anything which comes from the hand of an evil man nor should be seen associating with them we must turn away from them as seen according to the book of PROVERB 23:6.
In CONCLUSION we must not be seen as people who disrupt the work of God who Stands against the works of our father in heaven as seen in the book of 1 PETER 2:8. But rather in all we do we must be seen as people who are always grateful for what God has done for us, always ready to return thanksgiving to him and making sure we possess the spirit of patience and self control most importantly as Christians and as child of God we are.
THANKS TO GOD
