Obedience to the Will of God (Part 2 of 2)... mcgi topic review

Growing in obedience requires a heart willing to surrender fully to God. It is a continuous process of aligning one’s life with His word, guided by prayer, faith, and the Holy Spirit.

The first step is knowing God’s will. This comes through studying the Scriptures, listening to sound doctrine. So it is important that we must learn the will of God while we are still alive, before death, so that we may walk in it and inherit eternal life in heaven. No one can obey what they do not know.

Second is daily practice. Obedience grows when applied in everyday choices. As Jesus said in Luke 16:10;

He who is faithful in little is faithful in much.

Sometimes obedience requires giving up comfort, reputation, or personal desires. Jesus Himself obeyed even unto death. True obedience is not measured by convenience but by willingness to follow God regardless of cost.

Philippians 2:8;

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

Human effort alone is not enough, we must rely on the Holy Spirit. Prayer, fellowship, and the Holy Spirit empower believers to remain steadfast. As declares, the Holy Spirit is given to those who obey God, making obedience both a duty and a grace.

Acts 5:32;

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him

Obedience is preparation for eternity—our way to make heaven.
