As Christians, being created in God's image, there are certain qualities that we must portray. When God formed man He gave man His life. We are meant to possess the attributes of God because He is our father. The first book of the bible gives us a picture of how God intended for man to be when He formed Him.
Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Our outer man is flesh, but our inner man is spirit, and that came to dwell in us by God. So in other to connect and fellowship effectively with God we need to spirit in us to to be made manifest because God is a spirit.
1 Peter 2:21 - For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 - Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
The nature of God doesn't have any element of sin. God sent His son Jesus so for Him to live a life for us to emulate, a life free from sin. God desires that we return to the original nature that He intended for us when He made us initially. God wants us to reveal His image as we live our lives here on earth.
