Scriptures: Matthew 6:7, James 5:16, Isaiah 65:24, Proverbs 28:13
We venture into a new week in the Indoctrination series. One of the things we learned in today's session is some of the things that hinders our prayers for being answered by God.
Proverbs 28:13 - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
A good number of us want to be prospered by God. But one major reason why people doesn't prosper some people is because they indulge in sin and refuse to give it up. There's is no honor in holding unto sin. Sin creates a barrier between us and God, that is why prayers end up being unanswered sometimes.
Sin can also stand in the way of our healing.
James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
We come across instances in the bible whereby Jesus healed people and told them to go and sin no more. This means that the sin of a man can also affect him health wise. We need to be in right standing with God whenever we pray.
Sin is one of the thing that hinders our prayers from being answered by God
He is not deaf that He can't hear us but it's our iniquities that is standing against our answers.
