The summary of what I learnt from brother Eli's teaching
I learnt that the commandment of God is to do good to all, not just to our brethren with same faith but to even our enemies
Galatians 6:10 "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
I learnt that As children of God we should shine and give light to the world, and the way of giving light to the world is by our way of life
Philippians 2 vs 15-16
so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky , as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
I learnt that from your good works, men will see it and glorify God in the day of visitation
1 Peter 2:12
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
I learnt that it is our obligation to do good works to men, that they will see the good works and glorify God in heaven
Matthew 5:14–16
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on itsstand, and it gives light to everyone in thehouse.In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
I learnt that we should not keep company with sinner's and we should not join a church that is doing evil
1st Corinthians 5 vs 11-13
But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[a] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.
I learnt that a man that causeth his father or mother shall be put in total darkness
Proverbs 20:20
Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
I learnt that we gain when we do good and we obtain tree of Life
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and the one who is wise saves lives.
I learnt that when we win just one soul that God is delighted in us and there is joy in heaven
Luke 15:7
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
I learnt that there are churches that entice there members to do evil, they pretend to have God in their mouth but are wicked in their hearts
Matthew 23:15
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
