Calvary greetings!
Our Lord Jesus Christ has made us know that it's in him alone that we can have peace as there's no peace in this wicked world.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
What Jesus Christ is telling us in the above verse is that we should expect tribulations in this world of wickedness, but even whenever we are faced with this tribulation, we should also know that he has overcome the world with his peace.
Isaiah 57:19-21 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
Also, Jesus Christ is preaching the peace he represents and not only that, he made us know that there's no peace for the wicked, but as for those who embrace him, they shall have peace in this world of the wicked.
2 Peter 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
Also, in the above, we can see how the wicked one can be so dangerous for one to leave him as there would be trouble every now and then as can be seen in Sodom and Gomorrah where Lot was vexed and troubled.
In conclusion, 1 John 2:15-16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Here, we have been told not to love the world, neither the things that are in the world as this would not allow us to love the Father as everything in the world is full of lusts.
